Daily Accountability Calls

Around the end of January, my business partner and I decided to start facilitating daily accountability calls. We call into a conference line at 9AM every business day and each list the personal and professional tasks that we need to complete for the day, what we completed or didn’t complete the day before, and then spend time discussing the state of various projects we’re working on together. We also maintain a shared google document that contains all of the discussed tasks. Our calls usually range from 30 to 45 minutes.

 

We’ve been working together for almost three years now and for me at least, this month alone has been the most productive I’ve ever been in my personal and professional life. While our calls are very informal, the simple process of sharing goals with another individual on a daily basis has proven valuable.

 

We’ve had breakthroughs in personal and professional goals that can only be attributed to our accountability calls. We do plan to implement more structure as we continue to develop but for now we’re very happy with the results.
